We’re delighted to announce that Fletcher Babb | @cold_ghost_music, Catherine Cunningham | @cathy26c, Stephanie Dower | @stephdower, James Kerwin | @onjamesdesk, Lisa McEwan | @eyeamable, Samantha Townsend | @meltingwax_photography are the inaugural BLEACH* and BIG CITY LIGHTS* Disability Inclusion Reference Group Members.

All members of the group identify as D/deaf, disabled or neurodivergent and will be working closely with the festival and wider Experience Gold Coast team to support respectful, authentic, and inclusive representation of d/Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent people and embedding these principles throughout the planning and delivery of both BLEACH* and BIG CITY LIGHTS*.

Meet the new members of the Arts and Culture team to hear about our upcoming opportunities, programs and initiatives being delivered by the City.

Under 18s are welcome to attend, as long as they are accompanied by a guardian.

BLEACH* and BIG CITY LIGHTS* are inviting expressions of interest from people who identify as d/Deaf, disabled or neurodivergent to join a new initiative – the Disability Inclusion Reference Group. Applicants are encouraged to have relevant experience in creating, delivering or attending arts and cultural events and a passion for accessible and inclusive arts practise.

BLEACH* and BIG CITY LIGHTS* are committed to building workplaces, creative environments and audience experiences that support respectful, authentic, and inclusive representation, embedding these principles throughout the planning and delivery of both festivals.

BIG CITY LIGHTS* IS BACK BIGGER & BETTER IN 2024!

Following an extremely successful pilot program in 2022, BIG CITY LIGHTS* is back in winter 2024. @experience_gc has announced today that BIG CITY LIGHTS* will take place in Southport over three weeks from 21 June – 7 July 2024. The cutting-edge self-guided program will feature immersive audio-visual experiences, large-scale digital works, 3D-mapping and unexpected projection sites that will transform the Gold Coast’s everyday urban spaces.
