STRIBORG
Delve into the world of blackwave, a self-coined genre from the ever elusive Striborg. Originally making waves in the 90s with his unconventional approach to DIY black metal, Striborg’s BIG CITY LIGHTS* debut will bewitch festival-goers with his enigmatic performance weaving together elements of new wave, synth pop, post punk, goth rock and coldwave.
Striborg is a black metal / ambient project of Australian musician Russell Menzies. The project first began in 1994 under the name Kathaaria and during this time the stage name "Vvelkaarn" was used. The name Kathaaria was adapted from a Darkthrone song titled "Kathaarian Life Code".
