JEMA KAY

JEMA KAY

Plastered on the wall of a Southport laneway, akin to a concert poster and designed to live on well beyond the festival, this thought-provoking artwork emphasises the insignificance of gender identity when defining a person’s essence. With the central figure’s hoodie representing gender absence, the PC head relegates ‘Binary code’ to the realm of computers, not individuals.
